[Alvin is very good at making himself unreadable, but Jude's come to understand him a little better with the amount of time they've spent together and the things they've been through. That means the silence is very telling. Jude quickly makes sure the cabinet is set properly before following behind him.]

Can I come along?

[He's giving him the option, in case he wants to be alone. But Jude doesn't really think he should be.]

[he really does consider pushing the kid away—metaphorically, of course—but instead he says:]

Might as well.

[that came out a little colder than he intended. but he does have the feeling that Jude would check on him or something.]

[Jude would. And it's also wishful thinking to think that a little tone change like that would deter him, either.

But he doesn't say anything more, though, and just falls into step beside Alvin until they reach the office.]

[and continuing with that silence, he moves to where her stuff is set and immediately goes through the Dreamberry. it's kind of weird doing this. he bets if they had devices like these back in Rieze Maxia he'd probably be gathering information just like this, too. but when people left Somarium, the Dreamberries disappearing. having it still here despite her being dead is both comforting and confusing. but he did feel a bit guilty invading her privacy like this, and he made a mental note to apologize when she came back to life.

...yeah, that's still a strange notion and he's honestly not sure how to wrap his head around it.]

[It's not like they don't have prior experience with dead people returning to life (sort of)... but expecting it and having to wait is new.

Jude takes a chair to wait until Alvin's finished looking through the dreamberry. When it looks like he's finishing, he finally speaks up.] Did you find anything?

Not much more than I already expected. She only really contacted us, Kid, and Tali.

[Well, people he knows at least. That makes this a little easier.]

Then we should let them know. I meant to respond to Kid's message on the network earlier, so I can tell him.
