[wry grin, but he's thinking about this. also hearing Jude say all of that makes his interest seem really...shallow.]
Hm. Well, okay. I don't know if you should give me anything in particular, but I guess I've become a bit more interested in the technology aronud here. You know, all the electronics and all that. I guess it reminds me of home and what all I've missed out since being in Rieze Maxia.
[ie, Alvin is totally like a dad and would totally like any new gadget toys.]
Or anything that could help out around the tavern.
Though it's also kind of creepy when you think about it. For all we know, we could be wearing or using something that once belonged to those who vanished. It's like taking the property of a dead person.
We've been celebrating a lot of holidays here, lately. I'm not even sure if they're actually this world's holiday or something carried over from other worlds.
Well either way, it's not so bad getting to experience another culture's traditions for a while. And it's a chance for Milla to get to have some fun without being the actual subject of the holiday. [He's sure Nia Khera festivals are all about honoring Maxwell and stuff like that.]
[not that he ever really partook in such things (aside from happening to be there) for obvious reasons. though thinking about it, he remembers how so weird it had been for him. growing up in a place where it was all just a myth or fairy tale and now...well. at least i had been easier to adjust to the fact that oh hey, Maxwell might be a legit real thing since he had still been a kid. still weird, but probably a lot less so compared to the adults at the time.]
So should I expect another party to be thrown at the tavern or are we keeping it just to ourselves this time around?

[This is just because he doesn't think like Alvin.] But... I don't know. I guess I could always use more books.
no subject
But come on, isn't there something else you might want or need?
no subject
I really don't know. Pretty much everything I needed we've already found by now.
[...] What about you, then? What do you want?
[Maybe he can get an idea this way.]
no subject
[haha, he's said that before.]
But actually I guess I'm in the same boat as you.
no subject
Well... [hm.] So what are your interests? Outside of money, fancy scarves and alcohol, because I can't get those for you either.
[Well maybe the scarf, but he doubts anything he finds would be good enough for Alvin.]
no subject
You forgot women and guns.
[wry grin, but he's thinking about this. also hearing Jude say all of that makes his interest seem really...shallow.]

[NEW TOOLS WOULD BE KIND OF NICE, TOO....]

Well, that's a good place to start. [He looks thoughtful.] I'll have to look and see what's actually around here though.
no subject
[since everything is like. free.]

It's more likely than not, but don't you think they'd want us to use it instead of let it go to waste? I think I would, anyway.
no subject
Well guess it doesn't matter in the end. At least we have something.
no subject
[He shrugs.] But you're right. There's no point dwelling on that, especially with a happy kind of holiday coming up.

[Parties just aren't his thing. Especially after the last time.]

[Not having to handle drunk Milla again so soon would be a nice Christmas present.]
no subject
Anything else you need?
[because they've been talking for a while whoa.]
no subject
[is this what living in modern society means, chatting for ages while not even being face to face...]

All right then. I'll let you know when I head out over there. Until then, I'll see you later.
